The #Waterblendchallenge with Make Up For Ever*

Hello everyone! I was recently selected by GlamSense to try out the Make Up For Ever Water Blend Foundation and was so excited since I’d heard great things about this product. I was sent the foundation in the shade Y325 along with their Ellipse Blender. As I write this, I realized I should’ve taken a photo of the bottle’s pump…but either way – the packaging is quite nice. It has a frosted bottle which can make it challenging to see the actual colour, but this is not a huge problem. I love that it has a pump so you can actually control the amount of product that comes out. This is especially important since the texture is very thin (hence, Water Blend.) The Ellipse Blender is very firm and doesn’t puff out like a Beauty Blender or other blending sponges. While I like the precision for the under eye area, I literally felt like I was beating up my face when blending the foundation all over. Y325 is a medium toned yellow-neutral that is just a touch too light for me right now just because I’ve been getting a lot of sun. Not too hard to warm up though with bronzer and I must say – it’s a really great foundation. Very lightweight but buildable so you can amp it up to more of a medium coverage if needed. So I put the foundation to the test by seeing how long it would last on a busy, humid day in Toronto. The photo below was taken roughly 4 hours after applying (didn’t have time to snap a pic first thing!) I snapped another photo right before dinner (around 7pm) and as you can see – it slightly faded/rubbed off mostly from my nose, but the rest of my face still has a light coverage. To be fair, this was 12 hours of wear, which is still pretty great (along with my eyeshadow – shoutouts to the Urban Decay Primer Potion.)All in all, I would definitely recommend the Make Up For Ever Water Blend foundation for those looking for a lightweight foundation with light to medium coverage. It’s perfect for the summer since it didn’t make my face feel like a goopy mess, even with warmer temperatures.

Have you ever tried the UD primer potion on your nose in place of regular foundation primer? I’ve read that it makes foundation stick to your nose much better.
