Clinique x Crayola Chubby Stick Intense

Hello everyone! A little while back, I noticed on social media that an exciting collaboration was going to be released at the end of January. Beloved crayon/art supply brand Crayola was pairing up with Clinique and together they created what might be the most adorable product of the year. Giving the popular Chubby Sticks a makeover to look like the classic Crayola crayons, these new Chubby Stick Intense offerings are both cute and represent both brands very well. It has the signature moisturizing effect of the Clinique Chubby Sticks and then great colours that Crayola has. That being said, there are a lot of similar shades (although all different) in the range, so I chose the ones that IMO stand out the most.I picked up Brick Red and Red Violet at Hudson’s Bay after swatching all 10 shades. They both apply smoothly and provide great colour and hydration. These basically have the consistency of a tinted lip balm and actually leave a bit of a stain as it wears off. Obviously these do not have the same lasting power as a matte lipstick, but I think these are great options for people who want more colour, but may not be ready to commit to a bold, pigmented matte lip.Swatches of Brick Red and Red Violet:

Brick Red is a true red with a bit of a glossy finish. It wore for about 4 hours with some fading because I was drinking from a Starbucks cup. It did leave a faint stain (not a bad thing!)

Red Violet is a medium-deep berry with the same glossy sheen. It wore for about 4 hours as well, however I didn’t notice as much of a stain.

The Clinique x Crayola Chubby Stick Intense ($21 CDN) is available now at all Clinique counters and at Sephora. If you’re looking for a new highly tinted lip balm, or like me just appreciate the nostalgia of Crayola crayons, then definitely give these a try.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
