Hello everyone! Now I know you can get pretty decent lip balms for under $5 but sometimes it’s nice to indulge in a prettily-packaged lip product. You could go high end for a YSL Volupte Sheer Candy which comes in an array of colours and exquisite packaging ($39 CDN), however if you’re looking for something that’s a step up from drugstore but still easier on the bank account, you need to check out the new lip balm from Clarins. Housed in an eco-friendly cardboard tube and covered with brightly coloured polka dots is the new Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm, which is available now for $15 CDN. It is extremely nourishing and moisturizing because it is made with organic cocoa butter and shea oil, as well as organic red currant extract which not only keeps your lips hydrated but also gives a slight plumping effect. What’s cool about this balm is that it also creates a custom colour (mostly just an enhancement of your natural lip colour) as soon as you apply it since it reacts to your lips’ pH level. The fact that it smells like peaches is the icing on the cake!
These have sold like hot cakes since the release – I had to call about 8 different Shoppers Drug Mart locations to track one down. I’m not sure if these are limited edition or permanent, but if it seems like your cup of tea then start hunting! You can also order these online at clarins.com!
What’s your favourite lip balm? Are you a die-hard drugstore lip balm fan or do you like to splurge on your lip products? Let me know!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
